In Australia it can be tough to find calligraphy supplies, especially when you’re starting out and the thought of spending a fortune to have items shipped form overseas is a little overwhelming.
When I started teaching myself calligraphy about a year ago I searched high and low, and ended up with some speedball items that I found at an art supplies store. I persisted a while, but was really struggling to get anything to work the way I wanted it to. So when I went to the US for a family holiday I took advantage and ordered some supplies I’d seen recommended by Lindsey at The Postman’s Knock (a superb blog for budding calligraphers), and had them delivered to my hotel.
These new products were so much easier to use! Things started working, and practicing actually became enjoyable.
So when I opened the shop, I wanted to include some supplies that would make it easy for Australians to get started with calligraphy. Our range is currently pretty limited to include the basics for beginners, but we will be expanding this range over the coming months to cater to more advanced calligraphers.
To get one lucky person started on their calligraphy journey we will be giving away a great little pack of calligraphy goodness, valued at over $120! Posted Australia wide to the lucky winner.
